Is there a specific order to the quartet locker guys at the beginning of the maze? I feel like I went through every possible combination with them and I don't think i've made any progress

The lockers are not the key.

Okay, but it's just that the arrows are all pointed at this specific area in the start and the whole 4-step "we cause needs" spiel and the follow up responses led me to believe that talking to the locker quartet was important to progress this stage. I'm really kinda stumped on what to do next.

I hope there's nothing buggy going on with the game's code (i'm playing the latest feb 14 update) but I have no idea how to progress from the "cause need" part of the office maze and i'd like a hint to do so please

Try navigating the looping halls.

A tip: its about the arrows not the locker quartet (keep in mind of what the mouse with the red paint brush says)

I'm following your advice but I've been going down this hall 30 times and there's no change happening

*vid not here*

Okay, Cubit commented on my video and helped me out. I'm out of that hellscape. Thank you everyone for your help. Now I shall continue to the clock puzzle, which from what i hear from everyone, is extremely easy and chill and requires no help or thinking whatsoever

I seem to have gotten myself softlocked(?) after making it past the maze, I got the suitcase from the left side, the salesman is gone and I can't leave. The other fellow seems to be much too busy to help with my predicament.

Here's a hint, try check what you got from the suitcase.

I got a rubber duck (4), they can not be used. So unless I missed some other way of using items I am very lost.

(+1)

Have you checked the walls yet?

You actually got five ducks. It is hard to miss it though if your inventory is filled up already.

when i click begin, the game frezzes and an error appears that says: set party position is not set. There are no other comments about this so idk if this is a me problem :p

(+2)

redownload shall fix it

At the forth attempt it worked and I already finished the game. Is very fun! Buut while looking at the files I found things that I didnt see ingame, so im gonna keep playing :D

(+1)

I found more cool things but I’m stuck. I need a name but I have no idea where to get it. Also, the big blue guys that walk around do nothing except for the first one.

Immediately went to try this game when I first saw it in youtube since I'm a sucker for rpg games with these kind of storylines. Although the mouse puzzle was really tricky, the guide mouse on the revamped puzzle really helped me through! (albeit still tricky, but I like the way the guide mouse worded out the clues.) I've yet to uncover secrets I haven't seen but overall, I absolutely loved the story and that reveal made me tear up. Keep on doing what you do, fileto!! :DDD

thanks for playing the game.

Thank you for making this, esoteric rpgmaker games are like my coffee. They fuel me. Great game and Great Coffee.

glad to serve you a cup.

Great stuff. Really liked it!

(+1)

glad you did.

(+2)

Lots of fun :)

I'm stuck in the looping maze though. Could you give me a hint om how to solve it?

“hello rat coworker” *giggles* how silly! / pos

(+2)

I'm stuck in the looping mouse halls right now. I feel lost trying to decipher what the solution is, but I've been having fun so far.

(+2)

i'm glad to hear that, hope you make it out.

(+2)

I'm also stuck in that part, I thought it was a bug. Great game so far but I don't know if I can continue.

(+1)

I know the arrows have something to do with it, but I don't know if each one is a single instruction, or if they're combined.

For example, if there is an up arrow, then an up-right arrow, do I go up and right, which would satisfy both instructions, or are they separate, and I would need to go up-up-right, or up-right-up?

I think the loop in the middle means go up-right-down-left, but does doing that count towards the other arrows in the halls?

(+1)

There's also the question of which arrow to start with. The center one seems the most intuitive, but is it right?

Here's what I've got so far, any ideas?

after quite a few feedback i've reworked the maze.

redownload the game > move your current save.lsd file to where the new exe is. it will probably let you pick up from where you've left off.

(1 edit)

Save transfer worked, thank you for making the change.

I've made it to the next room, but I'm having trouble again.

Part of me is worried that I'm complaining too much and I'm too dumb to understand the puzzles, but this doesn't make sense to me. I'm assuming the clock in the center is supposed to be a hint, but I swear the clock hands could not possibly be in this position.

The hour hand is only slightly past three, so the minute hand should be much further back, unless that's an intentional part of the puzzle, like it's a broken clock?

(1 edit) (+1)

Also, if it's not too much to ask, as I don't know how to use RPG Maker, could you set limits on the digits so that we can't input times that make no sense, like 99:99?

It would also remove ambiguity on whether or not the hours use military time (1-24 hours) or standard time (1-12 hours, AM or PM). If we can't set the hours higher than 12 then we can be sure it's standard time.

Thank you for being receptive to feedback so far and improving the game, I hope I'm not being too nitpicky.

I've been having a tough time with that part too! If you ever find the solution, please give me a hint. (or just the answer honestly, lmao)

I found this randomly today and I’m so glad I did, it feels like it shares the spirit of classic 2000’s RPG Maker games while still retaining its own unique identity, which isn’t easy with how saturated these types of games are lol. The art is really captivating and I adore how it balances adorable and unsettling, LOVE these scrungly characters and the setting you’re able to create. The gameplay is also surprisingly fleshed out for such a short experience, although the mouse room puzzles felt a little obtuse and I consistently ran into minor bugs and what I think was a softlock (although these might just be issues for me). Really wish I could finish this but the game crashes for me when entering the elevator after movie night, rip.

Still loved it tho, hope you keep making more awesome stuffs :)))))

thanks much for playing the game, if you have the time to do so, please elaborate the bug to filetopoebus@gmail.com

edit: the crash / softlock was fixed early thanks to you. your name is now on the special thanks

Aw damn, that’s very kind of you! Now I can replay it without the sadness of premature conclusion, thank you!
